Transform Your PowerPoint from Ordinary to Extraordinary
Create presentations that keep people
excited and interested
PowerPoint has clearly become the standard in presentation
software. This tool has made it possible for people to put
together presentations easily and inexpensively. But, how
often do we resort to slides of bullet points to get our
message across? Unfortunately, bullet points aren't what
people remember.
What your audience will remember are visual images that
help explain your points. So how can you jazz up your slides
and transform them from ordinary to extraordinary? More
importantly, how can you create slides that accurately and
professionally communicate your business message – not just
incorporate the tricks of PowerPoint? The answer is to use
visual concepting.
Part 1 of program, Bagels & Big Ideas
Breakfast
The program opens with our 12 different methods
for creating more exciting and memorable PowerPoint slides.
Using "before" and "after" business samples, we'll show you
how we applied these techniques and how you can use these same ideas
on your
presentations.
We'll also show you new ideas for using animation that is
strategic rather than clever, for organizing your presentation
so it's easy for others to follow, and finally for using
visuals, unique looks and multimedia to create extraordinary
presentations.
- Who should attend? Those who have a good working
knowledge of PowerPoint and are looking for new creative
ideas. Or for managers and executives who have others create
their presentations and are looking for new creative ideas
to pass along.
- What will you learn? New, creative ideas on how
to get your business concepts across more effectively.
(Note: This session will not address "how did you do that?")
Part 2 of program, Techniques Workshop
We then move into a hands-on workshop on how to create
PowerPoint slides that is based on the 12 techniques covered
in the breakfast portion.
|
Topics:
- Creating a unique look
- Agendas
- The 6 x 6 rule
- Get visual
- Reducing list fatigue
- Shapes and shadows
|
- Graphs
- Tables
- Diagrams
- Animation
- Sound / narration
- Video
|
- Who should attend? Those who currently use
PowerPoint and want to learn how to create the
concepts shown in Part 1.
- What will you learn? How we created many of the
slides shown in the morning breakfast session. We will address "How did you do that?"
- Attendees must have a solid working knowledge of PowerPoint
features and functionality and bring their own laptop with CD
drive. This is not an introductory
PowerPoint software class. The workshop includes a manual with
all the step-by-step instructions.

I really
enjoyed the Power Point class. You were very
professional, proficient – I couldn’t have asked
for better trainers! Some courses drag on while
you are waiting for the “aha’s” – this whole
course was a gold nugget.

Your 12 tips on how to
transform PowerPoint combined with the hands-on

impressed. The "how-to" materials are worth the
money alone.
